Reading, mark the words that you don't understand  and then watch the video

If Spain were a village with 100 people living there...there would be 49 men and 51 women. They would live in 37 homes altogether.
15 of the 100 villagers would be under 14 years old and 17 of them would be over 67 years old
12 would be foreign. Which countries would they come from? Well mostly... Romania, Morocco, Ecuador and the United Kingdom
46 people would be married, 44 would be single, 6 would be widowed, 4 would be separated or divorced.
Women would have their first baby when they were 30 years old

We would live until we were 82 years old!
74 would feel healthy, 60 would wear glasses or contact lenses
50 would never have smoked,  54 would be overweight and would be a bit tubby, 13 would be allergic to something

17 people would go to school, 3 would be at university
40 would have a job, 33 of them would have a boss and the other 7 would work from themselves
30 of them would be happy in their job. Guess what!...
Women would be paid a little less than men.
In others words if our dads were paid 100... our muns would be paid 78
45 would go to work or school by car or motorbike, 30 would walk, 22 by public transport: bus, underground, tram, train..., 1 by bicycle, 2 woould not leave the house

112 tourists would visit us. Just imagine! More than all the villagers put together. The countries where most of them would come from would be the United Kingdom, Germany and France

There would be 7 companies in the village
There would also be 53 pigs, 35 sheeps, and 12 cows...
Every villager would get through an average of 149 litres of water per day

How interesting!
How do we know all this?
Because of statistics!
Statistics help us find out about ourselves and give us a better understanding of the way we live!.
